Went in with an online order. Swiped my card and it said insufficient funds (though my funds were more than sufficient). The woman at the desk said “this happens sometimes.” Finally, we got the transaction to go through. Or so we thought. Turns out I was somehow only charged $13.50 — $10 debit and $3.50 fee. So the woman taking my order calls her coworker over for help. Her coworker seems likes she’s excessively busy and doesn’t want to be bothered. So she comes over and essentially says there’s nothing we can do except charge your debit again which will cost you another $3.50 fee. So I asked if she could give me the $3.50 back in cash since their mess up was the reason I was being double charged. Her answer? “I can’t because it’ll make my drawer short .” I was stunned because 1. I didn't see how this would affect her drawer and 2. She didn’t even attempt to make it right. She could’ve offered me a cheap preroll or something to make up the difference. But she didn’t. Finally, I said “look, let me just get one of the $5.10 joints I bought and let’s call it a day.” So the original clerk was like “just one?” And I was like “well, the $10.20 total price for 2 of them is more than the $10 I paid, so I guess just the one.” Again; you would think that after wasting my time like this, the courteous thing to do would have been for them to say “just take 2,” accept the $.20 loss and still have a half way satisfied customer. Instead she handed me just one joint. And I walked out. Very disappointing experience.
