For dispensaries & brands
Cannabis marketing that fills the store, not the funnel deck
Weed Dispos sends buyers to licensed dispensaries every day. This is what actually moves the needle for the operators we work with — and where our sister agency, Smoke Advertising, does the heavy lifting.
Why cannabis marketing is its own discipline
Cannabis retailers cannot buy their way out of a demand problem. Paid search, paid social and most programmatic inventory reject plant-touching advertisers, so growth has to come from channels you own: local search visibility, your customer list, your menu data and the directories buyers already use to decide where to shop.
That constraint is why the same four levers show up again and again in the dispensaries that keep growing: be findable in local search, be present on the directories, own a clean opt-in list, and remarket to people who already walked in.
The four levers
- Local search and maps. Most dispensary visits start with a "dispensary near me" style search. Hours, menu freshness, categories, photos and reviews decide whether you appear — see dispensary SEO.
- Directory presence. Complete profiles with real menus and photos get shown to buyers comparing stores. A thin profile simply loses the comparison.
- SMS and email. The highest-return channel in cannabis, because you own the audience and delivery is not gated by an ad platform.
- Visitor identification and geofencing. Turning foot traffic and site traffic into an audience you can reach again, compliantly.
Where to start
If your profile data is incomplete, start with search and directory fundamentals. If you already get found but repeat visits are flat, start with cannabis SMS marketing. If you are opening a second location, plan dispensary marketing for the new trade area before the doors open.
