  I'm glad to see this shop has reopened. I always loved the staff, prices, and selection. They have new faces working there but the vibe is still the same, very professional and welcoming. I love that they carry Rove, I got my favorite flavor disposable, watermelon zkittlez. I'll definitely be shopping here again

  Theres no discount for first time people. They have a really bad selection, like super duper duper empty shelves. The music was absolutely blaring like i had to scream over it to ask questions and then an ad came on piercing through my ever living skull and homie didnt notice. So then i tell him I can't hear anything like 5-10 times not sure what hes responding with and he turns it down. My head still hurts from all that not even gonna lie. Jarrrrrriiinngg. Now i can hear him. Not very knowledgeable. He hadn't seemed to sample much of the product so had little-to-no information to give on anything really. Initially tried to charge me without the discount so an extra $20-30 and I was immediately like yah no . Then after a few minutes of playing with the computer got the final price to match the stickers... very nice guy, super genuine, but overall not a great experience. They literally had one single brand for concentrates. I planned to spend the $150 cash i had on me but the prices were so bad I didnt even hit $60. Homie didnt even staple the bag. I would have just walked out if it wasn't like right at 9pm when all dispensaries close. I guess they just opened a couple weeks ago but the reviews go back 6 years???? Good luck guys. Got a lot to improve on.

  Just left the shop in SLO and was so excited I was able to apply my earned points/discount, however, because I was forced to use their ATM (because their card system is no longer working due to Tom the manager not preparing for this issue), half of my discount went away to ATM fees. So, that sucked and this will be the last time I visit The Roots in SLO. Tom seems to not really care about the customers. His employees are great, but Tom and his procedures, not so much.

  Updated Review as of June 2025 - Not quite the same as they used to be. Communication is still good, but deliveries seem to be spaced out big time. If I call and place an order for delivery, it's 4-6 hours until the driver will be leaving the store. Inventory has been severely lacking, especially in the extracts department. Not really sure what has happened, but there used to be well known brands with a huge variety. Now we have 2-3 basically no name brands to choose from with not the best quality. Drivers are always super pleasant, thats the one thing that has stayed consistent. Just wish they would get back to what they had. I would love to give The Roots all my business, but with their inventory so lacking, I have had to branch out and find other dispensaries that offer better selections. I check the website about once a week hoping to see something change, but over the past couple months, the menu seems to get smaller and smaller. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't know why I try and shop anywhere else. After being burned by the other competition in Lompoc with just terrible customer service, The Roots is a breath of fresh air. They communicate quickly and effectively, their time frames are accurate ( I mostly do deliveries), and everyone you deal with is always in a pleasant mood and easy to work with. Will continue to recommend them to everyone I know, couldn't say enough good things about them. If you aren't shopping here, you are doing yourself a disservice. They know how to treat their customers right.
