What a cool dog friendly garden. Somehow in many walks around Lake Merritt we’ve never gone in before. Lots of meandering paths through very well maintained gardens. There’s a Japanese theme, but I didn’t see that much bonsai, but still really liked this space.

Gorgeous garden and very well kept public place. Felt secretive but it wasn’t. Even saw a red eared turtle in the pond!

Located inside the gardens at Lake Merritt. Free entrance, but donations are accepted. It’s an interesting thing to check out because there were a lot of bonsai trees that I wasn’t aware could be cultivated into a bonsai tree. There’s also a gift shop where you can purchase merch.
