I am from out of state, Indiana and work around the area now and may live for some time. My first time in here was few days ago and I asked for a cheap joint or so I thought I did. I've been a consistent smoker for a little over a decade and I am the harshest critic. I suck but I don't and this dude (sorry I can't remember your name but you'll remember the story maybe!) Brings back a joint with a strain called The Cream. I get out to the car and realize the total is 46$ and not 40(so I am not sure what happened there) but the charge is there !, but I'm not upset. This joint was one of the hardest joints I've ever smoked and I would definitely ask your bud tenders for a joint they'd recommend. This is the first time a budtender just fricking NAILED IT! Good looking ! God bless and please make sure you order more! I'll be back on payday, two weeks ! 🤪

The staffs nice and all but it’s ridiculous how long it takes to just buy some weed and get out. Checking an ID twice is stupid, the iPad saleman approach is just a little too much for me. We use to be able to just walk into a cheap tobacco kinda store, buy some delta8 product, show your ID once, and move on with your life but they made it illegal to buy delta8 products because no one wants to buy this over priced yuppyyup weed from stores like this. Prices are too high for mid products idk how any of these Ohio pot stores stay in business when you compare it to MI prices. Edit: it appears a staff member threw a temper tantrum because I’m not giving a 5 star review lol goes to show the maturity they have in this store

Original Review: Cannabist Corporate — the forced “preorder” tablet at the door is so ridiculous 👎 This morning, I made the foolish mistake of returning to Cannabist because I didn’t feel like driving to Sandusky and they forced me (the singular only customer in the building buying 1 singular item) to fill out an entire preorder with my information and go through their entire menu to select my items…instead of having the budtender that’s just twiddling their thumbs in the back. What an absolutely abhorrent system. Avoid this store at all costs. Visit our friends up north or just make the drive to a real dispensary in Sandusky/Huron. UPDATE 5/14/2026: One week later, I decided to give Cannabist another chance despite a frustrating experience during my last visit. Previously, I had left a negative review because I was required to complete a full “preorder” on a tablet at the door — despite being the only customer in the building buying a single item — instead of being helped directly by a budtender. For me, that completely defeats the purpose of visiting a dispensary in person. If customers are forced to browse and order through a tablet anyway, there’s little to no benefit coming into the store instead of ordering online. It removes the personalized experience, the ability to ask questions naturally in a conversational way (with someone who is knowledgeable about cannabis products, terpenes, strains, etc.) and even the opportunity to properly view products before purchasing to validate information such as testing and expiration date — since you cannot return an item for any reason besides state issued recall and defective products in Ohio dispensaries. This time, I specifically placed a preorder beforehand to avoid the tablet process entirely. However, before I could even complete my purchase, the security employee referenced my previous review as I was let into the back and I was immediately redirected away from the budtender to speak with a manager. The manager explained that they take one-star reviews very seriously and addressed my previous comment about budtenders “twiddling their thumbs in the back,” which they felt was unfair to the staff. I understand employees are following company procedures, and my frustration was never directed at individual workers personally. However, the conversation still felt more focused on defending the system than understanding why the customer experience felt frustrating from my perspective. I tried to explain that I still believe the ordering process creates a poor in-store experience, but I left feeling like my feedback wasn’t really taken into consideration and will not return. I did still complete my purchase, but the interaction left me uncomfortable. Customers should be able to leave honest feedback without feeling singled out or confronted about it during future visits. This review isn’t personal toward the employees themselves. My criticism is about the store’s customer service model and how management chose to handle feedback.

Checking ID’s twice is a state requirement so that’s okay, they have to follow rules to even be able to operate legally. Staff is super friendly and engaging compared to other local dispensaries. Especially if you are respectful to them and act like an adult. The tablets are helpful for information or when there is short staffing and the team does whatever they can to overcome any obstacles thrown their way. If you’re looking for a cheap and non-personable experience then sure go across state lines and use all that gas.
