My previous 5-star review has been revised to a 2. The new website is terrible and things in general have gone downhill in the past few months. When I voiced my displeasure at checkout I was told to contact MJ via email. I’ve experienced MJ’s condescension and rudeness in the past so I didn’t even take the contact information. I’m a daily smoker to the tune of approximately $3,000 a year for the past ten years. As I was told this afternoon at D33, change is inevitable. Heard. Loyalty should go both ways. It’s time for me to make a change. I won’t be back.

Very strange place. I walked in thinking I would just be inside the store—like how most stores work—but you have to check your ID at a front desk, then they will let you in the side door like you’re at a speakeasy in the prohibition era. It’s very overwhelming in there and not very customer-service oriented. The older man who sits at the front desk was also kind of hostile. I walked in (I had never been there before) and I obviously looked confused because it was just a room with him at a desk. And I asked if this is a store to get edibles and he respond “umm yes? This is a dispensary.” I responded with “oh ok, so like where is your inventory?” And he proceeds to say “umm inside.” I didn’t know there were other rooms inside because all their doors are closed and I hadn’t been there before. Not very friendly. So right off the vibe was strange. Everything is expensive and taxed, and they only take cash or debit cards. Their whole payment system and tax system and their act of refunding people a card fee when you buy something is just all so strange. I felt high after leaving from sheer confusion and shock and I couldn’t even buy anything without using an ATM.

They sell old weed that’s never as good as fresh. Don’t buy any flower that was harvested more than 3-4 months before sale. Any flower 6 months old has deteriorated by 10% Anything older is worthless Don’t buy old weed.

This was my favorite dispensary. I've been a loyal customer for years, until recently when they changed their pricing structure to not include taxes which was what I disliked about most dispensaries in the area. When I calculated my order it came to about $80. I was told the total was $101. I walked out saying I had to go to bank for more money and just kept walking.

Your store is committing tax fraud by increasing the percentage of THCA in your products by up to 10%. There’s no legal way to verify if this is accurate since you pay the labs for the data, which results in higher taxes by artificially inflating the THC percentage on your products. I believe you are paying a lower amount in taxes to the government and keeping the rest as profit. This is likely why you implemented a system-wide change to no longer include tax in the sale price. For example, explain how 7g at D33 is over $25 in taxes when at Sunnyside, 14g is only $15 in taxes, despite having the same THC percentage. This is one example of a few that I have uncovered with my recent visits. I do not recommend wasting your money at this shop.

As we speed run further into late stage capitalism I found it refreshing that this "employee owned" dispensary really spoke to the values and transparency I appreciate. When looking at all these negative reviews and experiencing the lack of transparency for myself I found myself pretty dang disappointed with their recent enshittification efforts. No tax in the price? We all like that.. why do you refuse to do that when it's obvious your customers prefer otherwise? It would be great if you just listened and improved (or reverted really). Otherwise I'll join the others and move over to Nirvana, even when it's further away. We all know in these crazy times it's more important than ever to vote with your money and sadly D33 isn't deserving on account of their recent consumer UNfriendly themes and efforts

One of the best dispensaries I’ve found in the area. And the veracity of this claim may be questionable, not sure, but it’s seems like D33 has twice as much inventory as Sunnyside with some products being much, much cheaper than SWAY. Surprisingly good deals, and kind of warm “mom and pop” feel to the store. Definitely visit if you’re a tourist or out-of-state visitor looking for a good first dispensary experience!

I used to be a loyal customer because they let you stack bulk discounts with other deals, which saved a lot of money. I went here for years and loved it. Then they changed policies so you can’t stack deals anymore. I haven’t been back since cause other places now sell the same products at lower prices. I’m disappointed in the company for using nickel-and-dime tactics and not responding to the complaint I previously submitted by email.

They took the tax included price away. Was one of the things I liked about this company over other people. I want to know the price I’m walking out with not how much taxes I need to bring. . Can’t blame the shops in the city for Chicago setting these

As others have already written, this USED TO BE an excellent dispensary--great location and space, friendly helpful staff. Those features remain but they pale in light of the massive problems with their new website/software, which is difficult to navigate and understand. Over the last weeks/months, what used to be a 10 minute transaction has become 25-35 minutes of attempting to sort out problems with an account I have maintained there for over 3 years. Each time a manager is brought in to somehow resolve the situation. Never quite sure how it will play out, or how long it will take, and my confidence in this business is draining out. I hope they manage to overcome these obstacles.
