  My experience was not the best as a first time customer. I went looking for pre rolls and they scammed me. At first I tried placing my order in store at the self checkout and it wasn’t working. So I tried checking out with employee at the counter and she scammed me without explaining the 5 for $20 promotion. She also explained I would receive a discount and it was not applied to my order. I will never come back to purchase anything else at this location.

  My girlfriend (who is 20 and goes to many MA med dispensaries with no issues) placed an order online and went in to pick it up, and they scanned her ID. An error showed up on their end and a woman with dark hair and glasses was radioed over to assist. When she saw the error, she was pretty rude and dismissive and did not seem like she wanted to help in any way or give any explanation. They scanned it multiple times and asked if she had her passport on her (who brings their passport to a dispensary for a mobile order?), and they told her they couldn't serve her because there was an issue with her ID and that she needed to call the DMV to fix the issue on her end. It seemed like both women behind the counter were very suspicious of her ID being fake and treated her as such. She left and went to another dispensary, and her ID went through perfectly fine. Yes, it is perfectly okay to turn someone away for an invalid ID, but to put the blame on the customer (and assuming they're presenting a fake ID) before assessing if there was an issue on their end seems unprofessional and we will not be visiting again.

  Update May 2026: they are offering high dose products more consistently again. Bumping up to three stars. Can’t go higher because of all the grief they have caused me in the past. But at least there’s improvement Update March 2026: CALLED IT. I knew that as soon as thrive took over panacea it would look less and less medical and more and more recreational. Called it. That’s exactly the direction it is headed in. MEDICAL PATIENTS WITH HIGH DOSE NEEDS EXIST. But I guess catering to consumerism and capitalism rather than to anything that has to do with healing is very in Vogue right? Can’t bump you guys up past 3 stars until: you allow rewards points to be applied to delivery orders. Those are our points. We should get to use them. Every time I check out it gives me the option to apply them to my cart and then it does not work. Original review (2025): After the change in ownership from Panacea to Thrive, I had a really bad experience as a medical patient where they sold me the wrong product and an in-store managing associate refused to own up to their mistake and was extremely condescending and rude about it. So their initial response was basically: we made a mistake, but we’re going to blame it on you and force you to eat the cost. This led to an argument in store in which the associate checking me out understood and was extremely apologetic, but the aforementioned bad employee he was reporting to was being a complete and total jerk. She refused to hear that I had been buying the same product for over two years and that Panacea never made a mistake. Needless to say, I left the store that day with my PTSD ultra inflamed. The point of going to the dispensary as a medical patient is not to exacerbate my illness. Quite literally the opposite. So I decided I was done with thrive. Fortunately, the manager Joe got in touch with me after I wrote multiple letters to thrive, corporate, and posted about half a dozen terrible reviews on the Internet. He explained some poor training on behalf of this associate and explained that it wasn’t representative of thrive as a whole. I hope that’s true so I’m taking the discount he offered me to make up for their mistake and giving them another chance.

  edit after 4/20- Thrive had absolutely no sales on this weed holiday, but everything is now on sale for earth day. This is one of the worst set up sales i’ve seen for 4/20 week, and i’m very unimpressed with this. I wish they had an overreaching 22% off on the actual holiday instead of a random day in the week, especially after purchasing a large amount. Even my budtender, when I went on the holiday, was surprised about the lack of sales on my flower. I love ordering at Thrive, but this feels like a way to make customers mad. x if you go by something different than your legal name, you’ll also run into issues here. i’ve never had that issue at a massachusetts dispensary, and as someone who has also worked at a medical dispensary, there should literally be no issue. there is not a law or a regulation that requires it. besides this, due to a dispensary very close to me closing down, this has been my only option and i haven’t been hating it. there is a good choice of edibles and they have a low delivery minimum, and they delivery really quickly for a medicinal dispensary. they’re the only ones who deliver asap. i wish there were more third party flower sales though, but that’s more an issue at most dispensaries.

  I only give this place 1 star because the CASHIER 49228 was racist, impatient and rude. I had a question to ask and before I could get the question out, she rushed me to get my ID. She was nice and kind to the white people ahead of me but when I got to the register she was rushing me and being dismissive.
