MEDICAL CANNABIS USERS (yes they sell actual cannabis here, ignore the incorrect reviews) you were probably like me & waiting for a medical dispensary to open in the area, only to end up frustrated that there are still NONE- meaning you're stuck with taxes. i came in after finding out they will remove the tax for medical- and ive been to many locations that offer a range of med discounts between 20-30%, which still doesnt cover some of tax for higher THC users. the staff was knowledgeable (Brian helped me) & i was able to try out some new strains. I got (2) 3.5g flower, a free joint for first timer & i also picked up a disposable. the first flower I tried was a blockberryx crossover strain & immediate headache, sleepy feeling & i felt off. My tolerance is up there altho I took a few days off smoking. I initially was going to just "deal with it" as I do w/ other dispensary purchases & maybe make it a strain i take before bed (gotta get money's worth). so I turned to use the disposable & i saw there was no silicone block. This is odd & i called them, since they pack it in house- & Danny said to bring it in & they can replace it/it should be fine but up to me. my partner drives me back & I asked for the disposable exchange- no problems. I then brought up "i dont expect anything from this- but this blockberry strain felt awful" & i told them my results. A diff rep was there, didnt catch his name (sorry!) he was tall & looked a bit older & said they do "satisfaction guarantee".. then measured the remaining product & exchanged it 🥹 I told them I normally do sativa & this 50/50 blockberry mix was an attempt to try something. so they got me a replacement sativa strain BUT THATS NOT ALL. he mentions CBD gummies for the headache, & i havent done that in awhile as I usually dont have THC headaches/reactions like this.. but when I went to pick up my bag at the register, they GAVE ME FREE GUMMIES. 🥰 so now i am home from their princess treatment, comfy, happy, & my headache cured. i do not have to suffer with blockpoo cannabis & i 100% will be returning regularly. ONLY criticism is their website is awkward but i was told its being improved. ----------- WHAT I LEARNED; after being a regular at multiple dispensaries, here's what they can do that a dispensary cannot -- similar to a Colorado dispensary -- ie; operate more like a smoke shop, & you can talk to the associates about why 1. free samples of edible product if on counter (i got to try chocolate) 2. you can sniff/look at the flower up close (this was a cool thing to re-experience) 3. accept credit cards & can do split tender, no fee (i did cash/credit) 4. can ship products (via ups i was told) 5. exchange flower if you have a bad reaction (within reason i assume) 6. sell mushrooms; +smaller portions so new users can try safely 7. give you a lil gift when u make a 1st time purchase (choice of pre-roll, edible drink or gummies) ------ update; new disposable feels great ☁️, no headache & smooth hit final update; nearly done with my flower & it's great. the free gummies helping a couple bad highs may have convinced me to buy more in the future to have on hand. edit; 5/2026 deals are good but lowering review because I spent many months saving up points, only for the options to very underwhelming at the 1000 mark. theres only 2 sativa strains available & im restricted to red/yellow dots.

Best place in this state as far as I'm concerned. Best stuff, best presentation, best prices, Best service, I won't go anywhere else and I haven't for years. Fresh out the jar from great people, it doesn't get any better than that. Highly recommend these guys. Shout out to my homeboys Danny and Brian at SL in Mchenry. Sugar leaf was my go-to stop for quality hemp but since the new change of management the prices have skyrocketed. It's become a better deal to just go and shop at a state dispensary.
