    We’ve been loyal customers of From the Earth for years, dating back to when only medical was legal and I still had my card. We’ve easily spent thousands here, with our typical bi-weekly order around $200. We’ve always ordered online when possible and paid in advance using Plaid/Dutchie. My wife usually handles pickup, while I handle payment. The very first time we did this, we called the store to confirm it was okay. We were told it was, and we’ve been doing it that way ever since—without issue. Today, that suddenly changed. We placed an order under my name (as we’ve done many times before), and when my wife went to pick it up, she was refused because the order wasn’t in her name. No problem, we adjusted. I placed a new order under her name, paid with Plaid again, and sent her back in. She was refused again. This time, they told her she couldn’t use my payment, even though this has been our exact process for years. No warning, no communication, just a hard stop at the counter. She left the store in tears, embarrassed and frustrated, over something that has never been an issue before. I called afterward and did receive an apology, and to be clear, no one was outright rude. But that doesn’t change how disappointing this experience was. If there’s a policy change, communicate it. Don’t let long-time customers walk into a situation like that blind, especially after years of consistent business. We’ve supported this place for a long time and built up a significant amount of loyalty points, but after this experience, we’ll be taking our business elsewhere. UPDATE: Since this incident, we’ve continued placing orders under either of our names and picking them up at multiple From the Earth locations, including this exact store, with absolutely no issue. So apparently this policy existed for one very specific afternoon, for one very specific customer, and then quietly vanished back into the mist. That honestly makes the whole situation feel even worse. It now seems less like a real policy and more like an employee made a completely unnecessary judgment call that ruined my wife’s day, and management decided to back it up and double down instead of admitting it had been handled badly. She was embarrassed, sent away twice, and made to feel like she had done something wrong over a rule that apparently nobody else has enforced before or since. We’ve used the exact same pickup process for years and have continued using it since without incident. The whole thing still gives me a huge ick. Policies should be clear and consistent, not randomly activated like a side quest depending on who happens to be behind the counter.

    I placed an online order at this location because your website stated that you now had a drive-thru lane, which is not true. I'm disabled. I have a very hard time walking. I had to navigate an unpaved lot and climb loose rubble to get into the building bc I'd already paid for my large order and there was no other way to get it. That will likely leave me in pain for the next few days. If you had an email contact listed on your website, I'd have sent an email, but this really needs to be corrected on your website before other customers with mobility issues make the same mistake bc you have bad info listed.
