Went to Altitude in Prosser on 6/23 around 7:30 PM. Honestly, this was probably my last visit. I’ve been to a lot of dispensaries and most budtenders are pretty chill and willing to help if you don’t know exactly what you want. I asked for 2-3 decent prerolls and told the employee she could just pick. She grabbed two, total was about $15, and since I had a $20 I asked if she could recommend another preroll or maybe an edible. Her response was basically, “Do you want to go look around?” When I said no, she told me she had just gotten back from vacation and had no clue what they had in stock. Maybe she didn’t mean it the way it came across, but it felt like she just couldn’t be bothered. The whole reason I ask for recommendations is because there are a million products behind the counter and it can be overwhelming. I’m not the kind of customer who knows every strain, brand, or preroll by name. That’s why I’m asking. And honestly, as someone who’s worked around sales mindset, it boggles my mind how you wouldn’t want to help a customer spend a little more money when they’re literally trying to give you more business. A simple suggestion would’ve easily been another $5–$10 sale, no problem. What really got me is that this exact employee did the same thing the last time I was there, and I even watched her do it to the customer in front of me. The guy asked for a strain and she responded with something like, “Well, which box?” as if he was supposed to know every brand that carries it. Sorry, but most customers aren’t weed experts. A little patience and a simple recommendation go a long way. Not the end of the world, but it definitely rubbed me the wrong way, and I’ll probably spend my money somewhere else from now on.

The next time you want to tell customers they have to leave their bag outside after already letting them enter, maybe make sure it’s not medically necessary. I chose my battles and this was a confrontation I wasn’t willing to have because I didn’t feel like explaining that I NEEDED my bag in case of emergencies. It’s a mini backpack for crying out loud. Can we ditch the backpack stigma because not all women feel like carrying a purse.

Worst customer service possible. As paid customers we don’t expect to walk in a place of business having to deal with the attitudes of the employees/bud tenders. I was told to “chill” because I was asking for clarity about a question I had. Asked for help and was directed to the wall with product and was told that’s everything we have. Again I understand they are having to deal with a lot of personalities through their shift but there must remain a level of professionalism. Crystal and crew made the experience unwelcoming and uncomfortable.

You can't beat these deals. You really can't! Even the basic prerolls are quality! Washington is right up there with Montana and Illinois for quality. You can tell that their product choices are both soil-grown and slow-cured.
