  This Botanist store OVERCHARGES its customers, as noted in many previous reviews by other customers. Today, when I checked out, the total was $56.97. I gave the cashier $57.00 and expected the store to round down to a nickel to $56.95 AS IS THE FEDERAL/STATE law when the dollar amount ends in a '7'. Meaning, I expected her to return .05. When I told her I expected her to give me my .03 change or change the total to 56.95 and give me a nickel back, she didn't know what to do and grabbed another employee. This other employee, a white man, about 5'8", brown short hair who was very aggressive, loud and rude. If management desires, I can send a photo of the man so you can identify him. He said it wasn't his fault and I asked him whose fault it was and he said, "it's the cash registers fault". WHAT? He then attempted to intimate me by saying, "well if you really need the three cents...". I told him I would not be intimidated by him and regardless of whether it was 3 cents or 3 dollars, it's the principle. Then, this man said he would call security. I told him that there was no security at the door. He said, "they're upstairs". Really? Security is upstairs and not by the front door? Something is really wrong with this place., The Botanist is not adhering to the FEDERAL and STATE rules of pennies. Here is a copy/paste of the Federal/State law that is all over the internet.. If the final digit of the total transaction amount (including taxes) is 1, 2, 6, or 7 cents, the amount is rounded down to the nearest multiple of five. If the final digit is 3, 4, 8, or 9 cents, the amount is rounded up. Rounding rules would not apply to payments made via electronic methods, checks, gift cards, or other non-cash instruments.” So, in my case, the total should have been rounded DOWN to $56.95 and I should have been given a nickel back. After I left the store and was in the parking lot, I was talking with a couple of people who asked what happened. When I told them, they too were upset that this dispensary is taking money they're not allowed to take. The white guy came outside and said to the man talking to me, "hey, don't listen to her, she's crazy". The man said, "hey man, we're just talking" which irritated the guy. Who is he to follow me out to the parking lot and try to control who I talk to. Free Speech. One more point. Some may think it's ridiculous to demand .03 cents back. Aside from being illegal, can you imagine how much money the Botanist makes by not giving the federal/state correct change back and keeping it? It all adds up. In closing, I'll say what many other reviewers have noted. Most of these employees come across as not giving a hoot about working there or being pleasant with customers. Not a nice place. There are a lot of other dispensaries in the area and competition is good in this case. I'll go to one of the other dispensaries unless management addresses this problem. Note: Nobody asked me for my ID at this store. When I walked in, no one was in the usual station in the front door asking for ID. Also, when I checked out, the cashier didn't ask me for ID.   Was there earlier today. I know what I want to get I forgot one of the names of one that I wanted to get. The girl was rude because I forgot the name. Proceeded to tell me there's a lot of sales. Are the rest of bartenders would turn the computer Around. She just looked at me with a blank stare in a blank computer screen. Get have off day just to be rude is crazy to me
