Edited Post: I recently had a good business owner-to-business owner conversation with Herban Cannabis Dispensary, and I genuinely don’t think he was aware of what was happening at the store level. It sounds like the Magic Number seltzers I purchased were not supposed to have been sold and that there was some miscommunication internally. Thank you Jeremy for the good conversation and being transparent. I found Herban Cannabis Dispensary on Leafly and went there specifically because I have several health issues and the only THC product I can safely consume are the Magic Number seltzers. My girlfriend and I went in and the sales rep helped us pick some out. I purchased six drinks and my girlfriend bought two. During the sale the rep mentioned that the owners had previously given employees a bunch of expired product and that they were trying to “blow out” the rest since it doesn’t sell. At the time that comment didn’t fully register. It should have. When I got home and opened one of the cans it tasted off. I checked the bottom of the can and saw a date from 2023. These drinks were years past the recommended shelf life. I called the store the same day and spoke to the same employee. She apologized and said she would talk to the owners. When I followed up the next business day, I was told the owners claimed the product is “stable for 10 years” and that the aluminum can would degrade before the THC ever would. That explanation didn’t sit right with me, so I contacted the actual manufacturer of the product. Their answer was the complete opposite. The manufacturer told me the drinks have a recommended shelf life of around one year and that they do not recommend consuming drinks that old. So the manufacturer says they’re expired, but the dispensary is still selling them and refusing to take responsibility. This isn’t about a minor mistake. Selling expired ingestible products and then doubling down instead of fixing the problem shows a serious lack of accountability. When a dispensary is willing to ignore expiration dates on products people are putting into their bodies, it raises serious questions about their standards and integrity. At the very least, customers should be able to trust that consumable products on the shelf are within a safe shelf life. If you shop here, check every expiration date carefully before buying anything. I won’t be returning.

I love cannabis in all forms so I was super excited to recently move to Portland and be able to explore the dispensaries here. I have gone to many, repeatedly, but wasn't really keen on settling for a particular dispensary as being my "regular spot"- until I came to Herban Dispensary. This is my solid, go-to choice of dispensaries. It's highly affordable, it's very local, and the budtenders are all incredibly nice; however, two budtenders in particular stand out to me because they were 100% my deciding factor for sticking with HD and I just want to end this review by recognizing their quality work. Jaden & Lexi are always so kind, personable, and highly attentive to my needs. I know I will always leave Herban Dispensary on a positive note when J & L are working, which includes this morning and is what actually inspired me to leave this review in the first place. Thank you for your superior herb service, Jaden & Lexi! You guys rock.
